What is the 1%?
Taxpayers in Hungary may offer 1% of their personal income tax to support a civil organization of their choice by means of a special form. Rendelkezõ Nyilatkozat a Befizetett Adó 1%-ról” (’Disposal of 1% of the personal income tax’) attached to the tax return forms.
How can you pledge your 1%?
Place the declaration form into a regular size postal envelope
If you submit your tax return yourself, please send the sealed envelope enclosed in your tax return form to the Tax Office (NAV)
Please write your name, address and tax identification number on the envelope. Make sure all the necessary information is provided correctly because any incomplete forms are considered invalid.
If your tax return is submitted by your employer, please put your signature on the back of the envelope where it is sealed and give it to your employer
